On 11 March a group of pupils fifth class of primary school participated in the phase of Ceredigion Provincial Sports Games Student of "Chess".
We have entered a men's team and a female: male
Team: Lorenzo Baraldi, Giacomo Bianchi, Giuseppe Bonfante, Oneda Martino, Campanari Lorenzo, Manuel Travagliati.
women's team: Marta Gatti, Schenato Vanessa, Camilla Serughetti, Blower Francesca, Chiara Barone, Elisa D'Amato.
We left the school at 9:00 and arrived in Quistello 10.00. When we entered the palace we found ourselves in front of an infinite number of kids of all ages and lots of tables with chessboards and watches. I saw emotion in exaggerated looks of "my" boys and tried to calm them, but tell the truth, I was more excited about them. Those responsible have called the couple of players and each has taken a position before the respective boards. At the start, everyone has looked down on his board and those small but great champions have started their race. I have never seen such a concentration of five years of school. I will not explain it throughout the game because that would too much time and space in the newspaper.
At the end of the meetings under the Regulation, the final result was as follows:
The men's team was ranked fifth;
The women's team was ranked fourth.
Hurrah!
For this goal we must thank the Franco MO Lanfredi that last year he taught the boys and managed to make people love their sport.
